Her overall form has been very encouraging and consistent and while she has been equally frustrating to follow, she comes here without a winners' penalty and in excellent shape. She has bumped into a few useful types in the past and today's race looks within her ability. Owenacurra Lass is herself a useful mare and while generally consistent, she disappointed on her last two runs, albeit her Tipperary 1m4f flat run can be largely ignored. She was reported to have basically burst a blood vessel ('blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage') when pulling up at Killarney in May and while she has since been freshened up and is very likely to return to her best today, must also carry a winners' penalty, albeit mostly offset by her amateur rider's 7lbs claim. My Midnight has been showing encouraging signs that she should win a race of this nature recently and finished ahead of Caddy Shack (third), Abbi Shore (fourth) and The Three Wizards (a somewhat disappointing fifth) when they met over course and distance last month. Arion Sky has her first start for Colin Bowe having done well in bumpers for Gordon Elliot but could struggle to give away a winners' penalty on jumps debut today.
