He was only 3/1 for that first attempt over flights in a race won by Bell Ex One who is in the upper echelons of 3yo hurdlers seen so far. He could make no impression after the second last, however, cut in the ground here could serve him well as he was runner-up on the Flat in his native France on rain-softened ground. First-reserve Six Feet Apart would change the complexion of the race if getting a run. She finished third in a Flat maiden at Punchestown in September that is working out very well. This Mount Nelson filly is sure to be well schooled for her first crack at hurdles. Astrophysicist won on the Flat in Gowran Park last month. The market should be informative regarding his chance. Doctor Brown Bear put in fair effort when fourth on jumping debut at Killarney. Vocito has had a couple of runs over hurdles and can get closer in this company.
