THE BRITISH EBF MICHAEL FOSTER CONDITIONS STAKES (CLASS 3) Permission was given for Mount Athos (GB) and Poet Master (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Scoville (GB) wore earplugs throughout.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference in the final furlong, when the winner Myal (GB), ridden by David Allan, interfered with Poet Master (IRE), placed second, ridden by Sam James.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Myal (GB)’S placing and ordered the placings to remain unaltered, as although Poet Master (IRE) was taken marginally off its intended line, at no point did James have to stop riding or appear to lose any momentum, with the distance at the line being a going away half length.
The interference was considered to be accidental as Myal (GB) had shifted slightly right-handed before Allan pulled his stick through and quickly collected his mount.
