Half a furlong after the start, the free running Lyra Lea (GB), unplaced, lugged quickly left-handed giving a bump to the winner, Assaranca (IRE).
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong, involving Zatsgood (GB), placed second, ridden by Billy Loughnane; Walson's Law (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Callum Hutchinson; Lyra Lea (GB), unplaced, ridden by Oisin Murphy and Media Legend (IRE), placed third, ridden by Lewis Edmunds.
The interference was found to be accidental as when hanging badly right-handed despite the rider's best efforts, Zatsgood (GB) took WALSON’S LAW off its intended line, causing Lyra Lea (GB) to become short for room and give a bump to Media Legend (IRE).
Following the race, Oisin Murphy reported that Lyra Lea (GB), unplaced, ran too free and Billy Loughnane reported that Zatsgood (GB), placed second, hung right-handed.
