The Raceday Stewards requested a report from T.M. Walsh, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Gaoth Chuil, placed first, as compared with its last race. T.M. Walsh stated that his charge did not handle the ground on the 29th July in Galway and felt that she favoured the ground today, which may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Whelan, rider of Factual Fact (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.P. Whelan was in breach of Reg.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for four racedays

An extended handicap for three years old and upwards that at entry have run three or more times under any Rules of Racing, at least one of those runs having been over a distance of ten furlongs or more on or after 1st July, 2025 (100 = 10st) Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
