Leaving the stalls, Assertively (IRE), placed sixth, jumped right-handed as End Of Story (IRE), placed fifth, jumped slightly left-handed causing J Street (GB), unplaced, New Charter (GB), unplaced, and Tanager (GB), placed third, to be short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either Assertively (IRE) or End Of Story (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 2 furlongs out involving Whiskey Glasses (GB), unplaced, ridden by Nicola Currie, Lift Lady (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Benoit de la Sayette, and J Street (GB), unplaced, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa.
The interference was found to be accidental as in a tightly bunched field Whiskey Glasses (GB) stepped left-handed before being quickly corrected causing Lift Lady (IRE) to become tight for room and stumble badly.
Following the race, Sam James reported that Assertively (IRE), placed sixth, was denied a clear run approximately 1 furlong out.
Sean Levey reported that New Charter (GB), unplaced, suffered interference leaving the stalls and Richard Hannon reported that the filly was unsuited by the going on this occasion, officially described as Good to Soft and would prefer a faster surface.
