The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Green Soul, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was being intimidated by Frescobaldi and that he had to use his stick for corrective purposes to maintain his line. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards accepted that one strike was for corrective purposes and that no further action was warranted
M. Crehan, rider of Frescobaldi, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left the whole way up the straight
