An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 1 furlong out involving, the winner Bobby Dassler (IRE), ridden by Mason Paetel, Redhot Whisper (IRE), placed second, ridden by Finley Marsh and Baynoona (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Charles Bishop.
Paetel was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed away from the whip without timely correction, which resulted in Redhot Whisper (IRE) and Baynoona (IRE) being taken slightly of their intended lines.
The winner, Bobby Dassler (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Bath on 5 June 2026, where the gelding finished eighth of nine runners, beaten 16 ½ lengths.
Barry Murphy’s explanation for the improvement of form that the ground at Bath was riding tacky in his opinion and the gelding was better suited by the drying Good ground on this occasion, was noted.
Bobby Dassler (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Taryn Langley reported, Sub Thirteen (GB), placed third, was slowly away.
Thomas Greatrex reported Zambezi Diamond (GB), unplaced, hung badly left-handed.
