The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the first bend involving Serotonin (GB), ridden by R. Whearty, placed sixth, Beer With The Boys (GB), ridden by Nicola Burns, unplaced and Itsalonglongroad (GB), ridden by P.A. Harnett, unplaced, where it appeared Serotonin ran short of room at the first bend. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. Whearty stated that he felt contact from the inside and had to take a check. Nicola Burns stated that her mount leaned in a little but she did her best to keep it straight. P.A. Harnett stated that his mount changed legs on the bend but that he maintained his racing line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action
P.A. Harnett, rider of Itsalonglongroad (GB), trained by Charles Coakley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump at the first bend, lost a hind leg and never travelled after
M.W Hassett, rider of Pegasus Of Harry (GB), trained by Eamonn O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check before the three furlong pole. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the report, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
J. Kearney, rider of I Do Believe, trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly

An extended handicap for three years old and upwards rated 0-60 Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won. Riders - Apprentices who hold an Apprentice Licence under Rules of Racing issued by any recognised Turf Authority and who have not lost the right to claim the 3lb allowance (95 winners).
