Just inside the 2 furlong marker, a weakening Dragon God (GB), unplaced, stepped right-handed, taking Return To Unit (GB), unplaced, off its intended line, just as Steely Dan (GB), unplaced, shifted slightly left- handed, causing Return To Unit (GB) to receive a bump when momentarily short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approximately 1 furlong out, Gilthoniel (GB), unplaced, shifted slightly right-handed, at the same time as Dragon God (GB), unplaced, moved marginally left-handed, causing the rider of Return To Unit (GB), unplaced, to have to take a check, having been presented into a rapidly diminishing gap, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Saffie Osborne reported that Suitcase Smith (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run just inside the final furlong; Kieran Shoemark reported that Canopus (IRE), placed second, was slowly away from the stalls; Jack Mitchell reported that Return To Unit (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run just inside the 2 furlong marker and again a furlong out; and Thomas Greatrex reported that Mystery Nituna (GB), unplaced, was slowly away from the stalls and never travelling thereafter.
