Approximately 1 furlong out, Live Each Day (GB), unplaced, moved right-handed before being corrected, taking Cardinal Point (GB), unplaced, marginally off its intended line and causing Silk And Steel (IRE), unplaced, to be steadied for a number of strides, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The winner, Stardrop (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Yarmouth on 01 May 2025, where the gelding finished eleventh of twelve, beaten by 15 ¼ lengths.
James Owen’s representative’s explanation that Stardrop (GB) had benefitted from being gelded since its previous run, was noted.
