Permission was given for Clever Jack (IRE) to go early to post, wearing a red hood and to be mounted in the chute and for Bay Of Dreams (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching three furlongs out, involving Beachborough Girl (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jason Watson and Glitter Code (IRE), placed second, ridden by Cieren Fallon.
The interference was found to be accidental as Glitter Code (IRE) had edged marginally left- handed when following the winner, Bay Of Dreams (IRE) through, which left Beachborough Girl (GB) very close to the heels of a weakening Westgate Warrior (GB), unplaced, and resulted in Watson having to switch his mount right-handed to avoid clipping heels, which resulted in Beachborough Girl (GB) and Glitter Code (IRE) bumping solidly on two occasions.
The performance of Garibaldi Memory (IRE), which finished ninth of nine runners, beaten by a distance of 56¾ lengths, was considered.
Dylan Cunha could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer examined Garibaldi Memory (IRE) post-race and had nothing to report.
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that Genbu (GB), placed fifth, hung right-handed off the bend.
