Turning into the back straight, Harry Palmer (GB), placed second, shifted slightly right-handed, causing the free running Darla's Secret (IRE), unplaced, to be shifted slightly right-handed, which in turn caused the rider of Almutraf (IRE), unplaced, to have to check off heels and lose ground as a result, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Harry Palmer (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the end of the back straight, involving Mission In Malton (GB), unplaced, ridden by Billy Garritty, the winner, Dolly's Delight (IRE), ridden by Callum Rodriguez, Zaramara (GB), unplaced, ridden by Mason Paetel and Mavetheforcebewivu (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Tom Kiely-Marshall.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Paetel was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Garritty was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he shifted right- handed when insufficiently clear, causing Dolly's Delight (IRE) and Zaramara (GB) to become tight for room and causing Mavetheforcebewivu (GB) to become crowded for room against the rail and the rider to take a strong check.
Approaching one and half furlongs out, Harry Palmer (GB), placed second, hung quickly right-handed, causing Toota (IRE), placed third, to be briefly crowded for room, which in turn caused the rider of I Can Boogy (GB), placed fifth, to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any runner.
Following the race, Shay Farmer reported that Almutraf (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference leaving the back straight.
