Davies’ explanation that the blindfold was caught on the gelding’s visor and was removed at the second attempt, was noted.
Shortly after leaving the stalls, Gogo Yubari (GB), unplaced, had to be checked by its rider when tight for room between Jake Loves Laura (GB), unplaced, and Autumn Angel (IRE), unplaced, which had both shifted round, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching the final half furlong, Street Life (GB), placed third, edged slightly left-handed causing Gogo Yubari (GB), unplaced, to be checked in its run for a number of strides, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Street Life (GB).
Just inside the final half furlong, My Genghis (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed at the same time as I Can Imagine (IRE), placed second, edged marginally right-handed, causing the rider of My Genghis (GB) to take a check to avoid the heels of I Can Imagine (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of I Can Imagine (IRE).
The winner Alafdhal (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Wolverhampton on 27 October 2025 where the gelding finished eight of nine runners, beaten 6 ¾ lengths.
Phil McEntee’s explanation that the gelding was drawn well on this occasion, was noted.
Alafdhal (IRE) was routine tested.
