The Raceday Stewards interviewed F. Brickley, rider of Bowensonfire (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated that he had miscounted. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that F. Brickley was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for five racedays.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards (130 = 11st 12lbs) Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won. Riders - Professional & Claiming Professional Riders who have not ridden more than 15 N.H. winners in the 2024/2025 season (Qualified Riders are excluded from riding in this race).
