THE BUSINESS PILOT HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) Permission was given for My Old Mate (IRE) to go to post early wearing a red hood and for Eastern Veil (GB) and Royal Bodyguard (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Wild Dahlia (GB) wore ear plugs which were removed at the start.
Approximately one and a half furlongs out Sail On Sailor (GB), unplaced, edged left-handed at the same time as Eastern Veil (GB), unplaced, shifted right-handed, which resulted in Royal Bodyguard (IRE), unplaced, stumbling when short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Pierre-Louis Jamin reported that Island Bear (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run approximately two furlongs out.
