Permission was given for Noble Phoenix (IRE) to go early to post early and be mounted in the chute.
Permission was also given for Olivia Jane (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held following a report from the Veterinary Officer that Oliver Signy, the trainer of Olivia Jane (IRE), discovered horse feed from a previous meeting in Box 21 in the Racecourse Stables.
Oliver Signy, the Veterinary Officer, and the Clerk of the Course were interviewed.
The Veterinary Officer was satisfied that the food present was normal horse feed and the Stewards, being satisfied that Olivia Jane (IRE) had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of racing, allowed the filly to run.
Olivia Jane (IRE) was routine tested.
A report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Stevie Donohoe reported that Too Much Trevor (GB), placed third, hung left-handed; Millie Wonnacott reported that Fact Or Fable (IRE), placed fifth, hung right-handed; Jack Doughty reported that Up The Anti (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed and Cieren Fallon reported that Tonal (FR), unplaced, hung left-handed and was denied a clear run on two occasions from 1 furlong out.
David Flood reported that a post-race endoscopy had found Noble Phoenix (IRE), unplaced, to have a low grade bleed.
