An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving the winner, Bajan Bandit (GB), ridden by Daniel Muscutt and First Kiss (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Trevor Whelan.
Whelan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to move left-handed when insufficiently clear of Bajan Bandit (GB), causing Muscutt to take a slight check.
The winner, Bajan Bandit (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 1 November 2024, where the gelding finished last of nine runners, beaten 10¾ lengths.
Grant Tuers’ representative reported that the gelding had benefited from an 83 day break.
Bajan Bandit (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Elle-May Croot reported that Bowood (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
