Having been examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Leaving the stalls, Stanley Spencer (IRE), placed fifth, jumped right-handed moving Aberama Gold (GB), placed sixth, onto Raffles Angel (GB), unplaced, which was inconvenienced and bumped Eternal Sunshine (GB), unplaced, which in turn lightly bumped Rebel Empire (FR), unplaced, causing it to make contact with the hindquarters of Chuti Manika (IRE), unplaced.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Stanley Spencer (IRE).
The performance of Chuti Manika (IRE), which finished twelfth of thirteen runners beaten by 10¾ lengths, was considered.
