The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the home turn involving Ob La Di, ridden by B.M. Coen, La Dame Blanche, ridden by R.P. Whelan, Los Toldos (GB), ridden by G.M. Ryan, and Miss Nifty, ridden by R.P
Cleary where it appeared interference took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.M. Ryan stated that he felt pressure from both sides resulting in him catching the heel of Miss Nifty. B.M. Coen stated that he felt pressure from his inside forcing him onto horses outside of him. R.P. Whelan stated that his filly ran off the bend despite his best efforts to straighten her. R.P. Cleary stated that he moved inside of Pearl Jewel and felt he was clear of the horses inside him and therefore safe to do so and this was confirmed by G.M. Ryan. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action. In arriving at their decision the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by La Dame Blanche drifting off her racing line but they were satisfied that R.P. Whelan had made sufficient effort to avoid causing interference so they took no further action
