The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Cadogan (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, and Slaney Drive, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.P. McDonogh stated that Cadogan rolled in on top of him and he had to check before running on again close home. D. Browne McMonagle stated that when he used his whip his mount shifted left but he corrected him immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted
L.T. McAteer, rider of Drumaugh Boy, trained by D.M. Christie, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout
The Raceday Stewards informed J.P. Murtagh, trainer that Elman, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
