The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Black Heather, ridden by R
Whearty and Catherine Magennis, ridden by D. Browne McMonagle, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Browne McMonagle stated that his mount dived left when he used his whip in the right hand and he immediately corrected it. R. Whearty stated that he did not have to stop riding or take a check when the horse in front of him moved across. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
