The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms K.M. Ryan, rider of Eagle Fang, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Ms. K.M. Ryan stated that she felt one of her strikes did not make contact with her mount. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found Ms. K.M. Ryan was in breach of R. 10.3 (g) (frequency) and in considering her clean record in this regard they suspended her for two racedays
