Permission was given for Crackinthunder (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Shortly after the start, Superior Council (IRE), placed third, edged slightly right-handed causing the free running Crackinthunder (GB), unplaced, to be crowded for room and the rider have to take a check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Superior Council (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference 2 furlongs out, when What What What (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Billy Garritty, interfered with Garifullina (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Sean Kirrane.
The interference was found to be accidental as What What What (GB) shifted quickly right-handed as Garifullina (GB) moved into a narrowing gap, causing Garifullina (GB) to be crowded for room against the rail and the rider have to take a check.
Following the race, Sean Kirrane reported that Garifullina (GB), placed fifth, suffered interference 2 furlongs out, then was briefly denied a clear run approaching the final half furlong.
