Permission was given for Blue Day (GB) to be mounted in the chute and to wear a red hood to the start and for Jenever (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the line involving Blind Beggar (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Frederick Larson and Good Earth (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Benoit de la Sayette.
Joe Leavy, the rider of Rebel Empire (FR), placed fifth, was also present in the enquiry but found to have not been involved.
Larson was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to continue to shift right-handed without timely correction causing de la Sayette to take a check on Good Earth (IRE).
Following the race, Billy Loughnane reported that Fletcher's Flight (IRE), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls which caused the gelding to be slowly away and Frederick Larson reported that Blind Beggar (IRE), placed third, hung right-handed.

Following the race, Silvestre De Sousa reported that GULYA (IRE), placed second, was denied a clear run from approximately 1 ½ furlongs out to inside the final ½ furlong and Tom Marquand reported that PURPLE RAINBOW, place fourth, ran too freely.
