Leading two-out on his recent visit here, the Tim Doyle-trained gelding stayed on well for minor honours, having been headed on the run-in. While that effort marked a huge improvement on previous form, the seven-year-old has to be given another chance at a track he clearly appreciates. Kilbeggan second My Good Pal has to be a contender under the same conditional rider. With that being his best run since joining Gavin Cromwell, there was promise of better to come. Kalaroun, who finished runner-up in a maiden hurdle over course and distance in May, should also be very competitive.
