Formscan By Tom Weekes - GOLD SPEED has bumped into some well-handicapped winners on recent runs. He returned from 525 days off last November and while previously successful in September 2020, ran well behind subsequent winner Ballybawn Belter at the Punchestown festival and well-in Teed Up at Galway. Bumper winner Moonovercloon has progressed well and while suited by this distance, is 9lb higher than when winning at Sligo. Experienced four-year-old Mighty Mo Missouri has been running well although his rating has climbed back up recently. Extrapolation beat 13-race hurdles-maiden Clifftop by three lengths at Ballinrobe in July but is 7lb worse off while Cottie has been running well in similar handicaps but would prefer good ground. Kendancer hasn't won since August 2021 and runs in a first-time visor, although his rating has fallen. El Champo faces a stiffer task than when winning at Kilbeggan. Rathnaleen Kal and Atacanter are declared to run on Sunday.
