Formscan By Alan Magee - FAKIERA made a promising debut in a valuable sales race bumper at Fairyhouse last spring and has certainly shaped well on both hurdle outings filling the runner-up spot in big field maidens at Naas and Leopardstown. Both those runs behind Entoucas and Jon Snow look solid efforts, and Sean O’Keeffe is a noteworthy booking in this claiming jump jockeys event. Arthurian Fame progressed really well on the Flat last year for his enthusiastic syndicate winning twice including a valuable 1m4f handicap at Leopardstown. His opening two outings over hurdles gave plenty of encouragement but the Camelot gelding was undone by the very testing ground at Clonmel last time. Politesse was probably the pick of these in bumpers and, having beaten all bar Darling Daughter in a Grade 2 mares’ race at the Dublin Racing Festival, opened her account when landing the odds in style here last month. Nero Rock and Ruinous appear the pick of the remainder in a very interesting maiden.
