Formscan By Gary Carson - Not the strongest looking contest for the venue and ARCTIC AMBITION can gain compensation here after meeting with misfortune at Tramore 12 days ago. He had won off a mark of 96 over fences at Thurles late last month and was travelling well when trying to exploit his lower rating over timber last time before getting hampered and unseating three from home. He remains on that same mark of 86 which is now 19lb lower than his chase rating. Makfils ran well when third at Cork on his first start for Peter Fahey and he looked like he would appreciate going a bit further then. Champ Royal was a decent fourth on his return at Gowran late last month and with that run under his belt he should be involved for prize-money again.
