Formscan  - A MAJOR PAYNE was unlucky in that the saddle slipped when he was making headway at Sandown so his eventual second-placed finish was commendable. His two previous starts also saw him fill the runner-up berth and Michael Bell's dependable gelding is well worth persevering with, given he is still on a workable mark. Jimmy Speaking and Mostawaa are other strong contenders, while Lunar Orbit is an unexposed three-year-old with the potential to figure too.
