The Belardo gelding rounded off the festival meeting here with a winner for Dermot Weld and was value for a bit more than his winning margin of half-a-length then. There looks scope for further improvement from him. With Robert Whearty claiming off Flying Fortress now he is 6lb better off so is entitled to play a big role. Rizal was third at the festival and ran a solid enough race last time in Bellewstown. He’s another to consider.
