The Night Of Thunder bay had a far from clear passage in the closing stages at the Co Kildare venue, eventually finishing fourth in what was a quality affair. Dropping back to maiden company now, the 78-rated three-year-old looks the one to beat. Bought for 100,000 pounds as a yearling, Polaris Dancer is of definite interest. The subject of market support prior to his debut at the Curragh, he finished an encouraging sixth and there should be plenty more to come from the Sea The Stars gelding. The Joseph O’Brien-trained Bacchanalian is the highest rated of those with a mark and is another leading contender, while Roscommon flop Slaney Swagger also warrants respect.
