Permission was given for Marsh Benham (IRE) to wear a red hood to post, and for My Ambition (IRE) to go early to post.
Approximately 1 furlong after the start, a free running Newfangled (IRE), placed third, shifted left- handed taking Huxley (IRE), unplaced, Windsor Pass (IRE), placed fourth and Saturnalia (GER), placed fifth, off their intended lines, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Newfangled (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference 3 furlongs out when Newfangled (IRE), placed third, ridden by Taryn Langley interfered with Windsor Pass (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Shay Farmer.
Being a 7lb claimer Langley was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Langley was cautioned for careless riding as she moved her mount right-handed taking Windsor Pass (IRE) slightly off its intended line.
Following the race, Fern O'Brien reported that Drumstick (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
