J. Kearney, rider of Beat The Devil, trained by Patrick Magee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right under pressure

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Showyoutheropes, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed fifth and Storm Eric, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed third, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. N.G. McCullagh stated that Storm Eric rolled towards him, that the contact was minor and felt it had no bearing on the result. Adam Caffrey stated that his mount rolled slowly towards Showyoutheropes but that he changed his stick and immediately made every effort to straighten his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted
