The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Abbotsford (GB), trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving No Temperance (USA), ridden by D. Browne McMonagle, placed fourth and Outlaw Man (USA), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed fifth, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Browne McMonagle stated that his mount was unbalanced so he pulled out but things became tight. W.J. Lee stated that his mount hung badly throughout, was nearly unrideable and when things became tight, he took a precautionary check but stated that this was not as a result of interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted
W.J. Lee, rider of Outlaw Man (USA), trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly right all the way and took a precautionary check up the straight
P.A. Harnett, rider of Senator Of State, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green when he hit the front
Adam Caffrey, rider of Tariff, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right up the straight
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Theorist, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was buffeted by the wind up the straight
C. Geerdharry, rider of Miss Garcia, trained by Alan McIntyre, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to be lame right fore post race.
