THE WIN WITH ZYN 3YO "DASH" HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 2) Permission was given for Temple Of Athena (GB), U S S Charleston (GB), and Artista (IRE) to wear a red hood to post, for One And Gone (IRE) to wear a red hood and go early to post, and for Alfa Duplicate (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately three furlongs out involving Chairmanfourtimes (IRE), unplaced, ridden by M P Sheehey, Call Margot (IRE), placed second, ridden by Sam James, and U S S Charleston (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Tom Kiely-Marshall.
The interference was found to be accidental as CHAIRMAINFOURTIMES (IRE) changed stride and shifted quickly right-handed before being corrected, taking Call Margot (IRE) off its intended line which resulted in Kiely-Marshall having to check his mount in behind.
Inside the final half furlong, Hanney Girl (GB), unplaced, lugged left-handed before being corrected, taking Alfa Duplicate (IRE), placed sixth, marginally off its intended line causing the rider of Chairmanfourtimes (IRE), unplaced, to have to ease momentarily when his mount was short for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching the final half furlong a Wedonttelllies (IRE), unplaced, edged slightly right-handed in a tightly bunched field causing the rider of a weakening Henrythenate (GB), unplaced, to have to check off heels, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
On the run to the line, having been switched left-handed into a legitimate gap, Call Margot (IRE), placed second, lugged further left-handed before being corrected resulting in Temple Of Athena (GB), placed fourth, being taken off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Call Margot (IRE).
Following the race, Edward Greatrex reported that One And Gone (IRE), unplaced, stumbled badly at the road crossing causing it to become unbalanced, M P Sheehy reported that Chairmanfourtimes (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run, and Sam James reported that Call Margot (IRE), placed second, was denied a clear run for a sustained period.
