THE AL BASTI EQUIWORLD DUBAI DASH HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 2) Permission was given for Alfa Duplicate (IRE) to go early to post and for Fortification (GB), Manatee Mehmas (IRE) and Our Cody (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The Stewards considered the behaviour of Our Cody (IRE) which had been unruly in the preliminaries and withdrawn by the Stewards.
As the filly had also been unruly at Newbury on 19 July 2025, Richard Hughes was informed that any future similar behaviour from Our Cody (IRE) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
James Sullivan the rider of Hanney Girl (GB) drawn 3 was slow to remove the blindfold on two attempts.
Sullivan’s explanation that he missed the blindfold at the first and second attempt after it got stuck on the bridle before removing it at the third attempt was noted.
Leaving the stalls Alfa Duplicate (IRE), placed sixth, jumped right-handed, into Front Line Fury (IRE), unplaced, taking that gelding off its intended line, resulting in Stargazed (GB), unplaced and Fortification (GB), unplaced, to become short for room and those riders having to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Alfa Duplicate (IRE) Approaching 1 ½ furlongs out, Manatee Mehmas (IRE), placed third, lugged quickly right-handed at the same time as Rotokura Belle (GB), unplaced, edged marginally left-handed resulting in the weakening Front Line Fury (IRE), unplaced, to become short for room and its rider having to ease the gelding, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Manatee Mehmas (IRE), Following the race, Cam Hardie reported Rotokura Belle (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed under pressure.
Clifford lee reported Stargazed (GB), unplaced, suffered interference leaving the stalls, Ben Robinson reported FORIFICATION, unplaced, suffered interference leaving the stalls.
