The Raceday Stewards requested a report from G.M.Lyons, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Prevalence (GB), placed first, as compared with its most recent run on the 30th of August at Cork. G.M. Lyons stated that possibly the better ground today may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given
