The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two and a half furlongs from the finish involving Beano Power, ridden by Sorcha Woods, unplaced, Sarahmae, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed fourth, and Hell Left Loose, ridden by J. Pietropaolo, unplaced, where it appeared Beano Power took a false step. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Sorcha Woods stated that her mount became unbalanced and took a false step independently. J.M. Sheridan stated that he was clear of everybody. J. Pietropaolo stated that he maintained his racing line and never felt contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further other than to remind Sorcha Woods of her responsibilities under Rule 213.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards (70 = 10st) Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
