Permission was given for Light Speed (IRE) to go early to post and to be mounted on the chute and for Miners Gamble (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out involving Molinari (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Mark Winn, Blue Sky Boy (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Rowan Scott, Light Speed (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jack Mitchell and Inappropriate (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jack Garritty.
Winn was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he allowed Molinari (IRE) to drift right-handed without sufficient correction causing Scott to snatch up aboard Blue Sky Boy (IRE) which in turn, caused Mitchell to take a check aboard Light Speed (IRE) and Garritty to have to take Inappropriate (IRE) back.
Following the race, Jack Mitchell reported that Light Speed (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run on several occasions from two furlongs out and suffered interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out; Rowan Scott reported that Blue Sky Boy (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out and Ben Robinson reported that Miners Gamble (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed.
