I was nearly not running this horse as that's as quick as he wants the ground. He is 17 hands and when I ran him on the Flat recently, Paddy (son) said he is such a big horse that he could feel his heart and that his head and backside was hitting the stalls. As a result, he jumped out slowly so had to tour around. He is a chaser down the road. I bought him in England and a big thanks to the three lads from Galway who bought him: when I got into trouble (with a suspension), they thought I had been harshly treated, so asked me to buy them a horse. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after passing the stands involving Galilean Prince, ridden by G.B
Noonan, Tassarolo (GB), ridden by D. King, and Yosemite Gold (GB), ridden by J.J. Slevin, where it appeared Galilean stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G. B. Noonan stated that his mount stumbled of its own accord and had not ran short of room. J.J. Slevin stated that his mount was free down the rail, but he had kept his racing line. D. King stated that his mount was forward going, but he felt he had left enough room for both runners on his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
