The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, that Mr L.T. Turner, rider of Mister Vic, had presented to weigh out at 5lbs overweight, 2lbs of which had been declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case and apologised. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that he was in breach of Rule 198 (vii) (a) and having considered his clean record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards fined Mr L.T. Turner €150 on this occasion. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards received a request from the trainer concerned Noel C Kelly, to substitute Mr L.T. Turner with Mr. D. McGill and having considered the matter the Raceday Stewards allowed the request on this occasion
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Karloss, trained by Conor David Maxwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly lame post race.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 0-100 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
