After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

De Sousa was cautioned for careless riding as edged left-handed under a right-handed drive resulting in Rumba Numba (GB) being taken off its intended line.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Zgharta (IRE), placed fifth, was slowly away.
