Permission was given for Streak Lightning (IRE) to go early to post and for Exposay (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood.

Dickson’s explanation that the blindfold became stuck on the mares bridle and took two attempts to remove it, was noted.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Streak Lightning (IRE) which had fly leapt leaving the stalls and unseated its rider.
The representative of Ruth Carr was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also fly leapt and unseated its rider at Newcastle on 27 October 2025.
Carr's representative was informed that any future similar behaviour from Streak Lightning (IRE) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Joanna Mason reported that Look Back Smiling (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
Bryan Smart reported that Jamaican Storm (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
