Rounding the bend leaving the back straight, the winner, Blufferonthebus (IRE) edged slightly right- handed, which caused Carolus Magnus (IRE), placed second, to be moved slightly off its intended line, causing Law Degree (IRE), placed third, to become short of room and have to ease slightly on the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and that it had not improved the placings of Blufferonthebus (IRE).
The winner, Blufferonthebus (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 14 October 2025, where the filly finished fourth of six runners, beaten 8¼ lengths.
The representative of Craig Lidster’s explanation that the filly had benefitted from the Soft, Heavy in places going, was noted.
The performance of Emerald Army (IRE), which finished tenth of eleven runners, beaten 17¼ lengths, was considered.
Declan Carroll could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.

Following the race, Conor Orr reported that Outrun The Storm (IRE), unplaced, became short of room rounding the first bend and was never travelling thereafter.
