He had great runs and the form worked out very well, they were tougher races than you’d think for that grade and he was unlucky to bump into them. He had course form here and it was another great ride by Danny. He could go for another handicap hurdle or he might jump a fence, he’s a good solid jumper. We’ll see how he comes out of it. We could travel to England, he has loads of options. He’s a good honest horse and there will be more days in him. The Raceday Stewards interviewed A.M. King, rider of Annalough, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A.M. King was in breach of Reg.10.3(b)(unnecessary use when out of contention) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P. Cleary was in breach of Reg.10.3(b)(unnecessary use when out of contention) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays
S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Colorado Charlie, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a mistake at the third last hurdle and weakened afterwards.
