Permission was given for Heathcliff (GB), Mount Athos (GB), Popmaster (IRE) and Roi De France (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Permission was also given for Nikovo (GB) to go early to post and be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong out involving Golden Mind (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Oisin Orr and Heathcliff (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Daniel Muscutt.
George Wood, the rider of Willem Twee (GB), placed fifth, was also interviewed but deemed not to be involved.
The interference was found to be accidental as a weakening Golden Mind (IRE) shifted right-handed before being corrected by the rider, causing the rider of Heathcliff (GB) to take a check when presented in to a diminishing gap.
Following the race, Daniel Muscutt reported that Heathcliff (GB), placed sixth, stumbled badly leaving the stalls.
