Permission was given for Drumstick (GB) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final ½ furlong when Drumstick (GB), placed second, ridden by Rossa Ryan, interfered with the winner, Capuchinero (GB), ridden by Christian Howarth.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Drumstick (GB) lugged left-handed despite Ryan’s best efforts to correct the gelding causing Capuchinero (GB) to receive a couple of bumps.
The winner, Capuchinero (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Brighton on 30 May 2025 where the mare finished last of eight runners, beaten by 13 lengths.
The representative of Alice Haynes’ explanation that Capuchinero (GB) appeared to benefit from a short break was noted.
The mare was routine tested.
Following the race, Laura Coughlan reported that Pacific Prince (GB), unplaced, lugged right-handed under pressure.
