Formscan By Tom Weekes - GRAN HABANO has shown form this winter and drops in grade. Tried in Listed company on debut, he subsequently disappointed in two turf maidens but performed with plenty credit in winners’ races in November and earlier this month. He seems well suited by this distance. Temperence is closely matched with No Return on their two previous meetings and appears more reliable of that pair - who finished sixth and seventh in October’s Birdcatcher. Temperence met minor traffic then and should be suited by today’s surface (having fast-ground turf form), while No Return debuts for new connections having disappointed over longer distances on recent runs.
