Formscan By Tom Weekes - LISNAGAR FORTUNE did everything right except beat Readin Tommy Wrong recently. A half-brother to Stayers Hurdle winner Lisnagar Oscar and a 2022 course festival bumper, the recent Cork form being considerably boosted by the winner landing a Grade 1 on Friday, while the third-horse also won subsequently. He was absent during Christmas but his form is outstanding. Jasko Des Dames won a French flat race last March and while he ran well in a first-time tongue-tie on hurdles debut last month, should find the selection too strong. Mercurey was a smart bumper type and has hurdling experience but hasn't run for 399 days and is second-string. Old Port ran a fine race on hurdles debut at Cork in December, prior to his early Christmas exit, and while rated 92 on the flat last summer, his form is on a sound surface, so is best watched. Muhtaluza, whose sire fathered Doctor Dino, represents top connections but skips bumpers and races against experienced rivals.
